What do you learn in your music lessons?

Foundations Music Academy offers exceptional music lessons to students of all ages and levels in a fun and engaging environment. Beginning music students learn the basics of technique, reading music, theory, improvisation, and more. Intermediate to advanced students continue to experience progress with increased proficiency in technique, in addition to mastering significant repertoire and developing overall musicianship.

We celebrate the uniqueness of every student! Our world-class music teachers take care in creating a unique curriculum for each student, utilizing various teaching methods that work best for the individual and focusing on your musical interests. Whether you’re a beginner violinist or an advanced clarinetist, our passionate teachers give students of all ages and levels the tools to develop musically and nurture a life-long love of music.

What do you learn in your music lessons?

That question is often asked by prospective students. Our teachers make it a priority to get to know you on a personal level and to become familiar with your personal musical needs and goals.

‍We do not treat every student the same in terms of what and how we teach.

‍A seven-year-old having their first guitar lesson will have very different needs than a fifty-seven year old taking up piano lessons for the second time after having had lessons as a child.

‍The main reason to choose the Academy as your music lesson provider is that we are sensitive to the fact that every student is an individual.If you enroll here for lessons, we will work with you to make a plan that will fit your needs and musical preferences.

At the first lesson, your teacher will ask you about your favorite type of music, and set goals to help accomplish whatever musical aspirations you have for yourself or your child.

What styles of music do you teach?

We teach all styles from rock, pop, jazz, country, blues, and classical.

Are your instructors qualified?

Our instructors are highly qualified, holding either a degree in music or very extensive performance and playing ability. For our degreed teachers, they have received their education from prestigious institutions such as the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, The Berklee College of Music, Oberlin College and Conservatory, The Ohio State University, Capital University, and many others. For our instructors with extensive or exceptional performing ability, they are thoroughly vetted by our school owner, Chad Ebert.

In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons.

Private Lesson Tuition

Tuition is billed monthly on the first of each month via ACH or credit card. Tuition includes lessons, recitals, our Level Up Achievement Program and more!
$40 per 30 minute lesson held once a week
$60 per 45 minute lesson held once a week
$80 per 60 minute lesson held once a week
*There is a one time registration fee of $35 for new students.

Monday – Thursday 2:00pm – 9:00pm
Friday 2:00pm – 8:00pm

How Long are lessons?

Lesson are typically once per week and most students start with a weekly 30 minute private lesson. For more advanced students we offer 45 minute and 60 minute lessons as well.

Do you offer Recitals?

Yes we offer optional, low-pressure recitals twice a year and they are completely free!

What happens if i have to miss a class?

If you need to miss a class or reschedule, don't worry because we offer unlimited make up lessons with 24 hours notice. Canceling and reschedule is easy and can be done with our office or entire through our client portal.

What age is appropriate for lessons?

Each instrument has it’s own recommended starting age. For more information, you can select an instrument from the drop down menu at the top of the page.

What if my child starts lessons but doesn't like it?

Often, if a student isn't having fun in lessons, trying out a different instrument or instructor is all it takes to spark their interest. One of the benefits of taking lessons at Foundations Music Academy is that we have multiple teachers for each instrument and offer private music lessons on all popular instruments. If all else fails, we have our "Right Decision Guarantee."If you decide that we are not the right fit for you, simply let us know before the end of your first month of lessons or classes, and we will refund the entire first month's tuition hassle-free. After your first month we just ask for 30 days notice to cancel classes.
