Most children are ready to begin drum lessons around age 7, depending on their attention span, coordination, energy level, and interest in music. Some younger students can start earlier with the right drum teacher and approach. Our instructors tailor lessons to each student’s age, personality, and learning style to keep lessons engaging, energetic, and fun.
In the early stages, students develop rhythm, coordination, timing, listening skills, and confidence while building a strong musical foundation. Drum lessons are also a great outlet for creativity, focus, discipline, and self-expression.

Students in our drum lessons learn proper stick technique, rhythm, timing, coordination, drum notation, groove development, fills, ear training, and music theory while also learning songs and styles they enjoy. You do not need a drum set to book your trial lesson. Our studios are equipped with high-quality acoustic and electronic drum kits for students to use during lessons — just come ready to learn and have fun.
Students will eventually need a drum set or practice pad setup at home for practice. Many beginner drum students start with a practice pad and a pair of stick, which typically cost around $30. When you're ready for a full drumset, your drum teacher can help guide you toward the right setup based on your goals, space, and budget.
Our drum teachers work with students in a wide variety of styles including rock, pop, metal, funk, jazz, blues, worship, indie, punk, and more. Whether you dream of playing in a band, performing on stage, recording music, playing at church, or drumming along to your favorite songs, we help guide students on a path that fits their interests and goals.
Students can learn grooves, fills, improvisation, timing, drum notation, coordination exercises, performance skills, and advanced techniques across many different musical styles. We have a diverse team of drum teachers with different musical backgrounds and personalities, allowing us to match each student with an instructor who inspires and connects with them.

Drum lessons are typically held once per week at the same day and time each week. Weekly consistency is one of the biggest factors in long-term musical progress and confidence behind the drum set.
Private drum lessons are available in 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute formats. Most beginner drum students start with a 30-minute weekly lesson before moving into longer lessons as they advance.
Tuition is billed monthly and includes your lessons, recitals, our Level Up Achievement program, and more! All designed to keep students engaged and progressing.
Payments are processed automatically via ACH or credit card on the first of each month. Click here to View Tuition Rates.
No long-term contracts. Lessons run month-to-month and if you ever need to stop, we simply ask for 30 days’ notice.
And if life gets in the way of a lesson, we offer unlimited makeups with at least 24 hours’ notice. So missing a week doesn’t mean losing momentum.
